I was listening to my ipod today and the song gentle shepherd came on. I have hear this song a million times before but I really enjoyed it today. Like any song I have heard millions of times before I sometimes get fixed on a particular song. It goes like this.
Gentle Shepherd, come and lead us, for we need You to help us find our way Gentle Shepherd come and feed us, for we need Your strength from day to day There's no other we can turn to who can help us face another day Gentle Shepherd, come and lead us, for we need you to help us find our way.
I think I listened to it 10 times or more in a row. I love listening to my ipod. It gives me some time to really listen to the words of a song and get the message that the song is trying to deliver. God knew that we could not make it without guidance. He sent Jesus to be our Gentle Shepherd, to lead us home. I couldn't make it without him. I have enough trouble getting here to there without getting lost. If God had not sent his son to teach us and to guide us in the way that we should live we would all be lost with no hope. I'm so glad that there is hope. I'm glad that God laid out a plan that is so simple to follow. We don't have to be rich, famous, pretty, ugly, tall, short, (I'll stop there). All we have to do is love God, Accept his free gift, repent of our sins and confess him as our savior. I know it's hard to believe in something that you can not see. But if you look close you can see him. I can see him in a smile of a friend who just stopped by to say hello. I can see him in a stranger who took two seconds out of their busy shopping trip to the mall to hold the door for me. I can see him in a wife who loves me unconditionally. I can see him in a neighbor who is driving by and waves. He is all around us and we come in contact with him several times a day, but do we ever really stop and say I just saw Jesus! My wish for you this season is that you take a moment out of your day and spot God. He's out there and he will lead you if you let him.
Blessings till I post again.
