Toilets and the roof

I accomplished two things today. I'll start with the simple thing first. Some of you may not know this, but I am afraid of heights. This comes to a shock to some of you who know that I love roller coasters. This is something that I can not explain, but it just happens to be one of the quirks that make me... ME. Anyway, Earlier this week we finally got someone to come look at our roof. We wanted to make sure that there was no damage from the major wind storm we got over a month ago. Turns out our roof is fine and we have at least 3 more years life on it. The guy did tell me that the pipe that comes out of our roof (there is a word for it but I can't remember it) needed to be spray painted to protect it from rust. It has already started to rust and we need to stop it in it's tracks or we will have major issues. So we headed to our local home depot and purchased the product needed to do the job. Today I got on top of the roof and painted that pipe. It was not the highlight of my day, but I'm sure I looked silly taking baby steps across that roof today. I did manage to get a few scrapes on my hands from crawling up and down off the roof. Now to the big accomplishment. Our toilet has been making a loud sound lately. We know that the Guts (thats what I call it) has gone bad. So I went to home depot yet again today and purchased new guts and attempted to tackle the job myself. I am pleased to report that I not only finished the job, but as a shock to me IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!! Yeah to me. I hate to toot my own horn, but for me to do something and it to actually work. I HAVE IMPRESSED MYSELF. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.

Blessings till I post again.
