I am so tired of this cold weather. It's funny that 2 years ago I never would have said that phrase. But things have changed and yes to all of you who know me I AM COLD!!!
I noticed yesterday that the pond is freezing over. Well actually as of today it is completely frozen over except for a hole in the center of the pond where the fountain is. I keep the fountain running all year round. It keeps it from completely freezing over and killing my fish. I was a bit concerned last year about it but come spring they were all there and doing fine. I don't know why I was so worried. Fish have survived the cold weather in ponds, springs and the river every year. Granted the river does not freeze over but ponds and springs do.
Before I forget my friend from work requested a "shout out" and while I am not completely sure what a "shout out" consists of I am giving it to Elise Right now. So Elise if you are reading this I'm shouting at you.
Tonight I will be giving no squirrel updates, no mention of Paula Deen. I am doing this on purpose! of course I guess I just mentioned both of them, but I will not elaborate any.

New Year New Phone
Sheila and I went to AT&T yesterday (New Years Day) and I inquired as to if I could upgrade my phone. I am not eligible until April 17th of this year. But I found that out about a week ago when I tried to upgrade then. I told the guy the problems I have been having with my phone (Signal and charging daily or every other day) he put a new Sims card in it and claimed that would fix the problem. Well it did not fix anything. When we went into the store the same guy waiting on us. He remember me from a week earlier. I told him I was experiencing the same problems and I asked if they could do an upgrade exception. He said sure. So I ended up going with a blackberry pearl. Sheila and I had already done all the homework on phones before going to the store and we both felt that phone would be right for me. Sheila's only concern (I think) is that this phone will have more features than I will know how to use.
Sheila spent about an hour tonight putting phone numbers in it for me. But I am proud of the fact that today I learned how to take a picture (on my own mind you) and even set the picture as caller id. For example if Sheila calls me her photo pops up. I also learned how to use the calculator. I like the calculator on this phone. My old phone had a calculator but I did not understand how to use it. You would think a calculator is simple to operate. And yes a standard calculator is simple to operate, however on my old phone you had to jump through hoops to do what would have taken you 10 seconds to do on a regular calculator. I claim a rocket scientist from NASA is qualified to use that calculator.
But anyway I have to say that I am pleased with my new purchase. My next purchase I want to make is a wii. But I think I have already mentioned that before.

Hiccups, Squirrels and Paula Deen
It's about 15 mins till the new year and I'm sitting here with the hiccups. I don't remember the last time I had the hiccups, but let me tell you it is very annoying.
A co-worker made an observation. She told me that I seem to talk alot about 2 subjects. Paula Deen (which I don't think I have ever blogged about) and squirrels. OK I will admit that I seem to have some kind of obsession with the squirrels. But this thing with Paula Deen is something new to me. I do like to watch Paula And I think that she is hilarious. But I don't recall talking about her on a daily bases. And still I'm sitting here with the hiccups. UGGGGGGGGGGG
This is the first photo we took with our new digital camera earlier this year. I don't have a real reason for sharing this info with you. I just like the fact that I learned to insert photos and thought it was time to share another photo from the Baugh Archives.

My first CD
I may be making a CD in the near future. A guy I work with has the equipment to make professional CD's. I've been thinking about what songs I want to do. Here is my list so far.
Rock of Ages
In the presence of Jehovah
For those tears I died
Gentle Shepherd
Surly the presence
I Wouldn't take nothing for my journey now
Of course this list is not complete, I think I will only be doing 7 songs on this CD but I may just do 6. I have been listening to various sound tracks to get the right sounds that I am looking for. Once I find the right track I'll have to purchase them. I'm sure that all of this is going to take some time so don't look for this to be ready next week. I've never done a professional CD before so I'm not sure what the production time will be like. I'll keep you posted as soon as I start recording. In the mean time if any of you have any suggestions for songs I can put on this CD please email me and let me know. Or you can leave a comment in this post. I am also going to want suggestions for a title to this CD. So please email or comment on that as well.

DVD's, Squirrels and wii
I know it's been a while since I have posted. Things have been crazy with my work schedule and all. I found out today we are working Saturday and Sunday again. I know the over time is coming to an end soon. But who knows when that will be.
We pulled in the drive way Christmas Eve and Sheila spotted the Surveillance officer posed on the roof top. Actually sitting on the gutter Gard's. He was eating nuts and spying on the neighborhood. I guess you can say we have a guard squirrel. But I still don't trust them. :)
I've been working on a new DVD. I spent 4 hours editing yesterday and 2 hours the day before. I think I have it worked out the way I want it. I've been transferring the file to a format that I can burn to a DVD. I started that process at 2:00 this afternoon and I just checked on it a few mins ago and it is about 90% done. It normally does not take that long, but the file is HUGE!!!
I really like the new software I purchased to do my editing. I'll have a viewing for those of you who don't mind me boring you with my home movies.
Christmas was wonderful. I got to watch my nephews open all their gifts. My oldest nephew got a wii and we had a blast playing it. My mom was bowling and she let go of the ball when it was behind her and the ball followed pursuit on the screen. It flew right into the audience. I'm thinking about getting me one. But I don't know if I can justify the cost or not. I might just have to go play with Emmanuel's until the price drops to something I can afford.

Two in one night? YES!
I just figured out you can put pictures with your text. So I found this picture that we took at thanksgiving. My nephew saw me exercising and he jumped up on me and said "Uncle Rob, Will you take our picture". Now I ask you, How could I say no to that.

Time, Where did it go? And some random thoughts
I can not believe that it is December 22nd. This year has flown by. I have a lot to be thankful for this year. I have a better outlook on life. I still have a wife who loves me. I'm still doing great with my weight loss. I have my health and a job. Wonderful friends. The only thing that is missing is an addition to our family. I don't blame God for Sheila and I not having any little ones yet. I know that God will bless us when he is ready. I know that there is a reason for everything. It's not for us to know what that reason is. I do believe that God's word is true and that he will bless us. He has never let us down before. I can tell you that Sheila and I have had many ups and Downs in the past 9 years. I really believe that when the smoke clears and we pick up the pieces we are stronger. If I never got another thing that I wanted I still have my relationship with God and my relationship with my wife. There are so many people who are sitting at home tonight without someone to love them. Without someone to mess up their hair. No one to throw a pillow at you for mocking them in fun. No one to get upset with them for something said in anger. Just plain lonely. I pray that I never have to know that feeling. I lived a life as a loner (and still do somewhat) and it is just the Pitts. Everyone needs someone to love.
The sad thing is that there are many days that I get down on myself and think about all the things that I do not have, All the things that I want and will never get. I hate it when I get like that because I have to come back to reality and really look at what the big picture is. We are all here for such a short period of time. It seems that many of us go home to soon. And then there are those silver haired saints that long for the day they can go to their reward. The fact is this isn't home. This is training camp. Our treasures are not here on earth. I have to remind my self of that so often. In this very busy day to day life that we live it is often very easy to loose sight of the important things. I think I smell a New Years resolution coming :)
